Tech Support Causes Oil Prices to Skyrocket
First of all, let me thank all the readers of The Daily WTF for stopping by and making sure this stupid little blog wasn’t just a steaming pile of crap.
My traffic has doubled…tripled…quadrupled since I linked to one of the posts on calculating PI using a DOS batch file. I mean seriously, that dude is wacked.
So thank you…all 3 visitors.
Anyway, I couldn’t find a good post from the WTF taking about error screens today, so I clipped this one and wanted to add my own experience. No…I’m not trying to be the WTF but I thought it would be fun to do my own.
“Little did I realize that a trip to the local recycling centre would provide the material for a WTF submission,” Simon D wrote, “for the record, ‘Actual Rate’ was hand written as 61%”
Hard Coded Rubbish – The Daily WTF
I quoted Simon D. there because my camera phone is crappy too. Take a look. I snapped these filling up the other day at my local Shell Oil gas station. It was on the “entertainment” TV screen that is ubiquitous these days at my local filling stations.

Lousy shot there but it’s a setup shot to prove that I’m at a Shell station…
Might want to check the RAM there.
Now we know why oil prices are so high, outsourcing tech support to India!!
