Blogger Blogs Next to Useless
This is something that I’ve thought for a while now but didn’t have any evidence to support. It’s been well known that Blogger.com blogs get spidered quickly. That’s why if you want to get your site spidered quickly, you create a “blog” there with a link or two back to your site.
However, I have seen no evidence that you get any link juice coming back to your site and now I know why. In fact, all the link juice from YOUR site goes back to Blogger.com and NOT the blog that you are linking to.
Personally, I’ve always filtered Blogger.com and Blogspot.com out of my search results for any…uh…black…uh…grey…uh…greenhat…yeah greenhat, that’s the ticket, stuff I’ve done. I’ve seen no benefit other then the quick spidering.
Of course, whether it’s blogging or greenhatting, I’m a retard when it comes to this stuff so go with the experts like Bompa, not me.
Blogspot.com blogs get ZERO link juice from PR8 blogger.com. The few “Blogs of Note” link at the bottom of blogger.com are nofollow. I did find one PR5 page on blogger (changes10.g) that lists recently updated blogs (a live list). For a moment I was hopeful, but the page took like 5 minutes to load here cuz it has 10,000 blogs listed for the last 10 minutes. A PR5 shared by 10,000 external links is a PR-shit imo. However, if you post every 10 minutes, it would be possible to get 1/10,000 of a PR5 for your blog.

Serious question here – you say a blogspot blog is redirectable. Is that a proper 301 permenant redirect which includes all incoming links etc? If so how is it done?

Looks like this is a common question. I haven’t tried it but maybe the META HTTP-EQUIV=Refresh meta tag would work.
