Adsense Is Better Than You
Google announced last week the addition of those “rich media” ads, the expandable kind that you might have seen on other websites. I have been wondering how long it was going to take before you started to see some moves from Google on the advertising front.
With the econolypse, I bet this isn’t the last thing that we are going to see coming out of Google to increase ad revenue. Considering that all I’ve been seeing lately are the “Rich Jerk” ads, “Lose Weight” ads and ads for “PR Web”, I’m figuring advertising budgets are tight.
We’re excited to introduce to you expandable ads, a new type of ad that can appear on your pages. Expandable ads are rich media ads that can expand beyond the original size of the ad unit, following a user-initiated action. This creates more real estate for the ad, allowing for more interaction from interested users.
